The definitions
of Coaching are many and varied. However, it is
fundamentally about change.
"Coaching
is an interactive process that helps individuals and
organisations to develop more rapidly, and produce more
satisfying results. Coaches work with clients in all areas
including business, career, finances, health and relationships.
As a result of Coaching, clients set better goals, take more
action, make better decisions, and more fully use their natural
strengths".
It is a
partnership that helps clients deepen their learning, and
enhance their quality of life.
A
COACH IS:
A sounding board, a
facilitator, an awareness raiser.
A trained
professional, properly qualified, who can help a client to draw
out and develop those abilities that have been dormant for
too long. A coach will ask just the right questions,
providing challenges and support, to assist in the client in
designing their life.
COACHING
IS:
Flexible to address
wide variety of personal and professional topics.
A
COACH IS NOT:
Judgmental,
directional, a problem solver, a teacher, an advisor, an
instructor, or even an expert.
COACHING
IS NOT:
Therapy or counselling,
nor is it psychotherapy or mentoring.

'Would
you like me to give you a formula for... success? It's
quite simply, really. Double your rate of failure...
You're thinking of failure as the enemy of success. But it isn't
at all... You can be discouraged by failure - or you can learn
from it. So go ahead and make mistakes. Make all you can.
Because, remember that's where you'll find success. On the
far side of failure.'

J. Watson
1874-1956, Founder of IBM |

To
dream anything
that you want to dream, that is the beauty of the
human mind.
To do anything
that you want to do, that is the strength of the
human will.
To trust yourself,
to test your limits,
that is the
courage to succeed.
Bernard Edmonds, American Writer

To succeed
you need to find something to hold on to, something to
motivate you, something to inspire you.

people who get on in this world are the people who get
up and look for the circumstances they want.

Our
limitations and success will be based, most often, on
your own expectations for ourselves. What the mind
dwells upon, the body acts upon.
